As of January 2023, the MedlinePlus Connect Web Application and Web Service have moved to the AWS cloud.

What's changed? The IP addresses for accessing the MedlinePlus Connect Web Application and Web Service have changed.

What do you need to do? If your organization uses firewall rules for accessing MedlinePlus Connect, you need to update your firewall rules to allow for new IP addresses:
IPV4: 75.2.125.67
IPV4: 99.83.224.235

To help you successfully implement the change, here is a timeline of key dates and actions:

As soon as possible: Please test your MedlinePlus Connect implementation using our test web page.

The test page is located at https://medlineplusconnect-test.nlm.nih.gov/

Please check to see whether you can access the test page from within your implementation. If you successfully access it, you will see a confirmation message at the top of the page. If you cannot reach the test page, it may indicate that security or other technical settings will impede your use of the AWS version of MedlinePlus Connect after May 2023. In this case, please make the appropriate adjustments to your implementation as soon as possible.

January 2023-May 2023: During this time, parallel access to MedlinePlus Connect using both the old IP addresses and new AWS IP addresses will be supported. This allows you more time to make adjustments to your implementation before access using the old IP addresses is discontinued. During this parallel time, the new AWS IP addresses will be supported via the test URLs: https://medlineplusconnect-test.nlm.nih.gov/application and https://medlineplusconnect-test.nlm.nih.gov/service

Beginning in June 2023: At this time, access to MedlinePlus Connect will be available using the new AWS IP addresses only. The old IP addresses no longer will be supported and the test URL will be discontinued. The new AWS IP addresses will be supported via the current URLs: https://connect.medlineplus.gov/application and https://connect.medlineplus.gov/service.
